Hi again,
I just upgraded to Opera 8 and I have to say right off the bat… I don't like it !
No graphics are showing up since it doesn't see the java plug in I have .
The menu is very differnt, I know you're saying wait, you will get use to it ..
You have to go to View and get back some of your settings, it's very differnt and yet the same . I got back some of my toolbars but had to adjust them .
Make sure you write down your reg number and reg info before installing the 8 over the 7 or you will lose it . I just read in forums that alot of people lost theirs.
also in View you have to allow graphics that's why none of mine were showing up. 🙁
Just a note to tell you what to expect.
Eve
I will have to spend some time with it I guess 🙂
I did find how to get my settings back thank G .
Where do you find the buttons and tool bars under the view?
Thanks 🙂
Here’s a 7.5 menu lookalike for Opera 8 for you:

.. but I think the Opera 8 menu is more usable.
Java has very little to do with graphics, check if you didn’t disable images or something like that. For support, use the Forums.
I’ve been using the Beta versions for quite a few months now, and I think that the improvements are massive. Going back to version 7.54 is unthinkable…
The customisation of toolbars. panels, buttons etc. is now very easy.
hello Its loaded there now I don’t know how but it is.
Also I downloaded the voice plug in and I like that a lot.
I am finding 8 to be very useful now that I got my features back 🙂
Thanks for all the great info you put out here for us.
