Life’s little Pleasures

 

Since I am retired I have begun to take workout classes at the local Y. Each day I find something or someone else whom makes my day so much more enjoyable.

Tuesday, I did a workout class and then went swimming and after the swim I went into the dressing room to change. A woman and her granddaughter was already in the dressing room and this older woman was there with her granddaughter. I said hello to them and the little girl said hello back. I then mentioned to the little girl that she was so pretty and she said thank you.

I asked her how old she was and she replied, ” 5″ I said I have a granddaughter 5 also. This girl happened to be small for her age and she asked me if my granddaughter was bigger than her and I replied, ” yes, however my younger granddaughter was bigger than her sister, so everyone is different and different sizes” I then complimented on her clothes and she said, ” my grandmother took her to a thrift shop and bought her the boots and a jacket” she then proceeded to tell me that she has the best grandma in the whole world. I was so happy to hear those words since you don’t hear them that often.

I explained to her that she is Lady Katherine and she said to me, ” no! I am lady bug Katherine, my grandma bought me a lady bug coat too”

After looking at it I agreed with her lol.

Lady bug Katherine decided to sing her PAPA favorite song and then her Gramy favorite song. Wow, she has a great voice, I said you should be on YouTube but she didn’t know what that was.

This bright little girl really made my day. As I said.. life’s little pleasures.
