I was reminded of an experience while speaking to a friend and I thought since it is the holiday season it might inspire others.
I was meeting people in Egypt for business reasons to establish myself as an American to do business with a person or company in Cairo, Egypt..
I found many via the net to have business meetings with and one inparticular was this young man who worked for the largest Digital recording company in the Mid East.
He called me from a phone which I thought was his so after a while I would send him SMS to this number for him to call me. Never to get the call back.
One day I get a message on icq from where I sent the SMS.. "You keep writing me on my mobile and who are you ?? "
To make this shorter.. it turns out this number was a local paper stand where they offer mobile calls for little money. The man who owns the newspaper stand didn't speak english and this young man who stayed around this location did and he gave him the message and asked him to find out why I am sending these messages.
It turns out we became online friends and this young man was a student of law and having a hard time in his studies and became depressed. We would chat and I would try to help with words which seemed endless.
I got a message one day from him how he really did think of dying and how alone he felt and after realising he lived close to me I asked him to meet me for a short time,. He agreed.
I brought with me a gift.. The gift of LIGHT.. WE met and spent a few hours walking and talking and before I left him I gave him this well wrapped gift..
He stated to me that this was the first gift he ever recieved and really didn't know what to say.. He opened it and as he did I said to him.
"If ever you feel you are at your end and feel so alone.. light this candle 
you will feel me and feel there are those who care about you and want you to be strong." He took the gift with a sense of happiness and thanked me more than I can express here. NO kiss 🙂
For the longest time he would say to me, " I have not burned the candle" I am sure as of this day .. he has not burned the candle.. sometimes all we need are words of the heart and someone you know who thinks of you and wishes the very best always.
Maybe now someone will continue the Gift of LIGHT where they are 🙂
OH, the company of digital recordings I did make a deal with them worth over 10 million dollars however, Egyptians are not wise in business and me being a woman, the owner thought he would out smart me so he lost the deal and the market of Usa and Canada. 🙂
