HI all,
No music today just some updates on my life ๐
I am building up my marketing business once again, from point zero while still working at the INN.. 7 days now I am working.
I am now contracted with 5 companies however, all are not sending work on a regular
basis. Still I need more ๐
I have one solid company whom I work good with now and they really do love the way I work and this means to me more work ๐
As you all know I bought a car in December 2005, and on this car when I bought it were new tires, this is one point I always check out or at least I thought I did.
Lately my tires have been losing air and on Sunday they were all very low and one was almost flat. I took the car to the station and filled them all with air and then took the car home and got picked up from a co worker at the INN.
Monday I decided to buy new tires since I will be driving a lot again and also getting my tax refund which would pay for these new tires too. I also need the assurance of not getting a flat .. I had to fill the tires again on Monday morning before driving 35 miles to the location where I have some work to do and also where the tire place is located.
I was almost to the town where the tire company is located and as I was driving over the briged that goes across the river I noticed the car starting to run funny and the steering wheel turning towards the left.. The side the tire was almost flat.
I remembered there was a large gas station off the first exit so I keep praying I could make it to that station.
As I arrived to this station to put air in the tire the left tire was competely flat and would not take any more air as I can hear the air pouring out .. Lucky for there there was a snack cake delivery man there and I asked him for help.
He was nice and busy but he came to the car and changed the tire and put on the spare tire which would allow me to get to the tire company.
After he did this for me he also walked around the car and told me, " YOU are lucky you did not have a blow out on the highway, all your tires have steel showing through them"
I arrived safe to the tire company and bought 4 new GOOD tires and also some other work to ensure the car to run safely for me at least until something else breaks down.
After I completed my stores I had to service I went back to the dealer who is on my way home and I explained to them about all 4 tires being garbage and the lady told me if I had the 2 tires which she claims were NEW.. she would reimburse me the price of 2 of my new tires..
I explained to her that I did NOT believe her and that I was not happy with my tires being switched after I agreed to buy the car.. I had 4 tires all the same make and model and yesterday I found out 2 front were the same and 2 backs were the same and all USED.
I also stated to her that new tires don't show STEEL after only using them for 2000 miles.
NOw I am on the road again with new tires and hopefully with my goal of getting more good work and enough to support me in my own apartment and new life.
This was never a problem for me before as I always had new cars when I had my business now I am using a used car and I am praying that God gives me the gudience and support to be safe and make the right decissions for my future.
I am also finally getting my cell phone with camera so look for photos from the road ๐ I can upload them to my blog I think.. we will see since I travel in the most amazing parts of New York State and see the most beautiful locations .. This is why I love my work.. I have God all around me .. ahhhhhhhhhh
Thats it for today just wanted to let you all know what goals I am reaching and no longer waiting for the managers job in the hotel I work for .. It will be there loss not mine.. ๐
Love
Eve \whose on the road again today
Hi Eve, glad you have decided to strike out on your own. a bit of go getting never hurt anybody. I will endeavour to follow your lead and keep up with your progress. Love & luck in equal measure. Q.
My dear sweet Angel….
Oooh – I am so glad to hear that no harm came upon you or anybody else. Those tires were dangerous. Good for you that youยดve got a new set.
Hey Eve ๐ Happy to hear you’re doing well and staying safe. We need to find some time to catch up sometime. I gotta run to class now, though!Take care!
hello, hello… HOLA!I’m glad that your trip ended safely, even with the tire problem. I’m also driving a used car, it’s a Chrysler Shadow and at first, I had to do a lot of repairments to it: gas bomb, radiator, transmission, motor head, shocks, escape tube and of course TIRES. Jojo, but the car was amazingly cheap and I think that this is a very good learning experience.Last week I had to change my brake pads because they were eating the discs |:I’d recommend you had your tires filled with nitrogen, that improves safety, tire life and driving experience (:Good luck in your new life!
HI Q and G and T and A, and Ethank you all for your comments and caring. it means so much to me.Just know one thing I am not quiter.. it takes more than a flat tire to get me to say no more :)IN 2000 I had a car accident and a car hit me and I was ok not hurt just my car was and had to be towed and I had to rent a car to get home since I was so far from home.. Would be you believe after all the stress of this car accident on my way home I finished a store that was left for this day. ๐ it was on the way home and it allowed me to complete that territory on time.thanks again for all your love and support.LoveEve
Hi Eve,It’s great that you are building your business & not waiting for the inn. Congratulations on all the work that your business has been getting now & in the future. Thank God that you were safe when the tires went out. I bet He was watching over you that day. He was also watching over you when you had the accident too. May you be richly blessed in all your endeavors.Love,Marcus
I agree with Marcus, you are blessed. I am sad that you had to go through that whole deal with the tires, being a woman, I know you are strong, but, having to deal with stupid things, like tires! It stresses me out, so I wonder what it did to you….:( I am glad that you have replaced the stinking worn out tires! I had to do the same this year, and my van is a 2005! I am starting to wonder if it is a 2005 because we also had to replace the breaks. This loan has to be paid, so we can not just take the van and tell the crooked dealer to shove it up his,……OPPSS! lolLove you Eve, may God continue to bless you and I will keep you in my prayers. (I have been doing really good by the way, aren’t you happy for me?)Sarah
HI Marcus, thank you for your blessings and your caring and also your readership :DI know how much you are working and yet you take the time to comment and read and even post in your blog.thank you for your friendship too.LoveEve
HI Sarah,Yes you are doing well and I am really happy for you to be so great at what you do :DThank you for your blessings and comments and always taking a minute to read and feel and write..Love youEve
Hi, Eve,Reading your story reminded me of my overseas days. It is hardly imaginable how much trouble or hardship we might come across when we live and work in an alien country, let alone start from scratch and set up ur own business network. However, after you get through and have ur efforts paid off, you will be grateful to these bitter experience that life granted us, it helps us grow, it is the blessing for our success somehow.LoveCaptain
Hi Captain,You are so right and for me it is a repeat of years previous, been there did this aready, the stuggles were made many years ago and I should be enjoying the profits of my labors not starting all over again from point zero, however I am and I must face this fact which I am but not liking it ๐ While living in Egypt I worked in various jobs and struggled with the language barrier and the mind set barrier and for 4 years struggling and now it continues :)I thank God for the blessings I recieve each day and pray to God for others at night. thank you Captian for reading, I have missed you so much.Love Eve
HI Scott,,I bought 4 new tires with a warrenty on each of them so for tires I am ok .. if only the car holds up :)thanks for the advice :)LoveEve
cool report eve. somebody up there likes you.you’re off to a good start at the beginning of the year… good luck.if that ever happens again… slow leaking…. you can get a few cans of ‘fix-a-flat’ which both fill the tire and emit a sticky glue that fills the leak. but then get new tires as soon as possible.i’m running on four bald tires myself and no spare. but i do have a can of fix a flat.
