AfroCeltic shared by Qbone.. … I love this song TOO MUCH 🙂
I was driving on the highway returning from my work and entering a toll booth which happens after you cross. Here are the toll booths on the very bridge I am writing about.
I usually use the far left toll booth so I would only have to worry about the cars on the right side of me.
In front of me was a black town car.. Lincoln.. he was in front of me while crossing the bridge always looking at me in his rear view mirror .. I guess he liked looking behind him ? 😉
He went thru the same toll booth but in front of me and as he pulled out driving forward I too was right behind him.
We were driving in the left lane where all the lanes from the toll booths merge and I usually stay in the left lane since it's the faster lane 🙂 MR town car did the same..
I noticed this large tractor trailer truck in the right lane driving a bit odd and sorta pushing towards the left lane where I and Mr Town car were driving.
AS I expected and felt from seeing the way the truck was driving he was entering the left lane and almost pushed Mr Town car into the highway divider.. Mr Town Car came to a HALT >> STOP>> in panic I did not stop but slowed down..
Finally the truck pulled back over to the right lane where he should have been anyway.
Mr Town Car was so scared he refused to get on the left side of the tractor trailer truck and made it impossible for anyone to get by him as well as the truck..
Little did he know when he left his house today he might have been smashed into a wall and probably killed or injured.. Little did I know I would be driving behind this man who wasn't paying attention and maybe TALKING on his mobile phone too.
Just a view into a part of my day driving for work and thanking God I don't talk on my phone while driving.. I just play my music very loud and dance 🙂
Love,
Fatimah
HI again, yes right .. when you can’t do anything about the situation it is much more scarey. Thanks for reading and where have you been? 🙁
HI again,I remember you are traveling to your grandmothers and I hope you enjoyed that wonderful countryside 🙂 How is she?I hope your studies go well.. I know how busy you are working and also completing your degree. Thanks for stopping in don’t be a stranger 🙂
I don’t drive myself, but whenever my father is driving he is very careful to keep WELL behind semi-trucks as he understands full well the danger of these vehicles and often their drivers. Glad to know that resolved itself without injury, drive safely…..
HI Digital,Thanks for sharing and finally reading :)I was happy too that this guy didn’t get squashed.Nice to see you here 🙂
Hi Eve,Thanks for the song,I begin to have a little collection of your music;)Louis
Welcome to my world. My daily commute takes from 60 minutes to 4.5 hours depending on the circumstances on the freeway. Every mile is full of possible incidents. We are all lucky to get through it.:D
HI Louis,You will have more if you go thru my blog almost every post has music in it :DThanks for enjoying my music and my blogEve
HI Dave,Why does it take that long? are you a truck driver? 4.5 hours to drive to work I hope you get paid great money too 🙂 I have been a sales rep for more than 20 years so I am use to driving..also when I lived in Brookly NY I had a route of the 5 buroughs and this was night driving since I delieved food items needed for the AM schools.. this was fun since not much traffic was on the road at night and back in the early 70s you never seen a woman driving a panel truck.. many times I got pulled over by police 😀 met a few nice ones too Oh well that’s enough running on ..Thanks for sharing Eve
Eve,I’ll refer you to a post of mine a few months back for the explanation of the 4 1/2 hour commute.http://my.opera.com/devans186/blog/show.dml/147560A normal smooth commute is 60 minutes, door handle to door handle, bumper to bumper at 75 mph.NASCAR style.
HI Dave,I understand now .. I must have had a blonde moment :DEve
Eve,I’d rather have blonde moments than senior moments.:D
LOL noticed I didn’t use that phrase..I am to young for those now 🙂 haha thanks for the smile.
HI Stephan,I wish I could travel by public transportation.. I am tried of idiot drivers and the smell of exhaust 🙁 Thank you for a brief insight into your travel ..Nice to see you again also.Eve
Hi Eve, I decided about six months ago to commute by train, and though it probably takes about 15 mins more each way, it is a far more relaxing experience. I take a book or listen to the ipod. Drive carefully, Stephen
Well, I read it and liked it but what I liked more is the image and I saved it too! :):):) Someone has rightly said that tomorrow never comes and so we should try to live in today or live it to our heart’s content. (Well I am wondering if I am really doing what I have just expressed! But I’ll do it now becuase I must learn how to live in the present.)
yes living in the present is the only way to have a future .. If you keep looking back you don’t see what’s in front of you..:)
I changed the music in this post thanks to filegig 🙁
