SPAM IN PM

I don't know who else recieved this message however,
when I use the forums I get blocked or they remove my
question so I figured to use my blog to ask and find
out what can be done about this issue other than blocking
this IDIOT !

I see enough of this crap in my emails I don't need to see it on Opera
I rememeber last year we had people placing sex track backs in our blogs
and I guess this year it's going to be this kind of crap.

I just checked her ID and it shows she or he is BANNED 😀

All that can be done against this particular user has been done already.But perhaps you mean that you’ve gotten the same message from different users?This just shows that My Opera needs some preventive features. They could be one or more of the following options.Private messages disabled for newly registered users.Only allow messages from people that you’ve added to your friends.PM spam filter.Automatically move messages from a particular user to spam once he/she is banned.Or an option to set certain features for your user name to all, registered users, friends or private.

Hi Dr,this is the only one I have seen so far lately,last year or the year before we went thru a barageof trackbacks which were advertising sex sites :(It took me hours to delete them and still I am finding some I missed.I like this idea of yours:Private messages disabled for newly registered users.I get emails from people whom are over joyed with my bloghowever, they write me in my gmail not on OPERA.. I know we can set PM for friends only however, I feel if any one would like to share something with me which they do I would accept PMs from any one with great ideas or sharing links which are NOT sexual related or LIES..   7. i got one too, but by the time i clicked on it his/her site was banned. and a very good thing too. goodbye spammers and hackers!

  9. You can report spammers here. Just post the username and the moderators will take care of it :rip:But now My Opera has added a “Report Spam” button to the PM system. :hat: :yes:

  10. Hey all,I am glad to hear I am not the only one but also sad to hear we all have to dealwith these jerks.Thanks Opera for adding the spamm button 😀 I noticed that today Micky they added it in the PM section good going.
