Hi all,
I did what Dan did, I watched a movie and I can't believe how it affected me.
The movie has been in my pc for over 6 months and I finally took the time to see it.
"Man on Fire" with Densel Washington, need I say more?
The young girl in this movie looked and acted just like my oldest granddaughter Carly, whom I haven't seen for more than two years and only spoke on the phone for a short time over a year ago.
Just as this girl in the movie touched Densels life, so did my Carly. Carly has always been, my "FIRE"
It was because of her I wanted to be a better person, woman, mother, grandmother, EXAMPLE. I wanted to show her anything you want is obtainable; I believe I have shown her this.
This girl in the movie gave back life to Densel. When he felt lifeless; she touched his heart and soul.
It's odd how sometimes we pass up the opportunties given to us when we are touched by someone, and then there are those who accept it and grow from it and blossom into the whole person they are suppose to become.
Densel committed to this girl his life, his being, his "FIRE" was for her, and the life he promised to safeguard.
I know who lit my "FIRE" I am asking you to remember who lit yours.
An opportunity not taken is given to someone else.

Yes, Eve, a person may come into your life and simply by being there make it necessary for you to raise your standard from mediocrity to something approaching what you are really capable of. Having such a person enter your life is a blessing.

And I absolutely understand what you got from ‘Man on Fire’. I watched this film while I was in America last year. Remembered my little brother, the one I’m always trying to protect. And this little young boy has no idea that I’m the one who’s being protect by his kindness, beautiful eyes and nice acts and words.
