Vincent C. Laid to Rest

Gone To Soon

Never have I been more proud of my son as I was today at his burial.

I attended his wake last night and so many people from near and far came
to view Vincent and to share with myself and his family the "Light" Vinny
have brought into each and everyone he came in contact with.

After not seeing him for 7 years it was so wonderful to know how many lives
Vinny touched and embedded into their hearts for a life time .

So proud today when a tour bus full of his friends from work at Columbia University
in NYC attended his funeral.

Tears came flowing down of proudness and honor
to my son this sight effected my whole family ..
I thanked each one for attending and sharing their wonderful
stories with me and gave me some love from him even after his death.

A wonderful girl sang this song at his burial site, it's perfect since Vinny was
only 31 and now he too is " Gone To Soon"

I hope you will hear this song and feel the love from all his friends and family members
and to know in our hearts Vinny lives on and the "light" he sheds will continue forever
inside our hearts.

In his death he bought so many of my family members back together again and we remembered
Vinny and his sister Heather since they are only 3 years apart and we laughed and cried
and I know in front of my son laying in his casket he too was hearing these wonderful memories
and gave us all some good feelings even in this horrible time.

Thank you my son Vinny for being full of "Light" and offering to anyone willing to receive
your gifts the power in which God gave you …….

.. LOVE..

Forever and beyond I too will be laid to rest
in the same cemetery I have decided today.

Your loving Mother

  2. this was so beautiful. i also feel at a loss for words..when a tour bus turns up..well you know you’ve mattered to many people. it sounds like Vinny did plenty while on earth.

  3. Hi Michele,The site of this bus took all our breaths .. my nephew walked over to the busand got on and thanked them all for coming for Vinny. After the service each person came up to me to tell me how much they loved Vinny and how much joy he brought into their work life. The world has really lost an Angel now but I am sure God has more plansfor him while he is up there. I look forward in seeing him one day and I know he will be happy to see me at that time. His Obiturary is here… http://www.legacy.com/NYTimes/DeathNotices.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=106361286You can see comments I made and others who cared to write there .. Today myself and my sister bought a whole tray of Pansies.. We took themover to Heathers house to ask her to plant them when the weather allows in her yardin a separate place for a memorial for Vinny .. The colors were beautiful and when we see them we will see Vinny inside each of the color flowers and remember how colorful this man was in life and now in death. Fati

  4. Dear Fati,So sorry. I too am at a loss for words. One thing though comes straightaway to my mind. You seem to have taken the shock well and have paid an eloquent tribute to dear Vinny in this page. May be the LIGHT in him has guided you when you penned those words. I read through the epithets written by his friends pouring out their heart and truly a wonderful person Vinny must have been. I think it was Nietzhe who wrote ” It seems that Only when death comes do we realise how close we were to the departed…” RKKsharing your grief ( and pride) in a small way.

  5. HI RKK,Thank you for your caring words, so much has come into my mind since his passingand today my daughter shared photos of him and her while they were youngerand my heart still breaks over this and it’s effecting my soul so hard.Thank you again for sharing in my grief it’s hard to be alone in all this horror.:heart:Fati

  6. Hi Michael, thank you for your caring, and I do understand this point however, God works in his time not ours.Vinny was in alot of pain as I was told so actually God released him from this pain only to give those who loved him pains unbearable. Thank again my friend
