What’s Wrong With This Video ?

Warning.. this video might upset the viewer..

I was sickened to see this video since it
happened in Connecticut, the state where I live and only 1.5 hours
away.

2 cars street racing in broad daylight.. not caring about those walking
around the streets or actually caring about the outcome.

The Victim is 73 years old and only wanted to cross the street.

It's been on the news so I am sure many here in USA seen it however,
I am posting this video for those out side USA so they can see how
the world is becoming NUMB to society and those in need.

Prayers needed for this man and OUR World.

  1. For some reason, the audio is not working on this video. I checked the source (YouTube) and it is not working at that end either. Maybe it will be fixed before you read this reply. It should be noted that additional videos have been released, along with new reports, that it appears many who were there were so shocked by what they witnessed they failed to react; however, the 911 call reporting the incident and many individuals rushing forward in an attempt to help occurred within 60 seconds after the man was hit.He was merely crossing the street to get home after buying a carton of milk at a local convenience store and is now totally paralyzed from the neck down. The governor of the State of Connecticut is offering a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two vehicles involved.Although states and cities have passed laws in an attempt to turn back the tide of street racing, up to and including charging everyone (including all spectators), street racing’s popularity is on the rise.Statistics show that deaths and injuries resulting from this practice are staggering. In addition, those who participate in such activities and get caught show very little or absolutely no remorse (as demonstrated by Hulk Hogan’s family).Since those who participate in street racing know full well what the consequences can be as a result of their actions, I think that those who wind up killing someone should be charged with 2nd degree murder, rather than vehicular manslaughter. I also think that the minimum sentence for causing any injuries as a result of racing should carry a minimum of ten years in prison…I don’t care if they are minors or not. If you are adult enough to obtain a driver’s license and get behind the wheel, you are adult enough to face any and all consequences of your actions.

  2. ………..This isn’t street racing…………….If you want to learn what street racing really is, check out the upcoming “illegal street racing” documentary on YouTube. Just go there and type in “1320” – it’s the street tacing video on TOP. ……Or, go to their official website at:___________ http://www.1320movie.com…...

  3. 4. well its funny they followed each other does it matter it was in my eyes a HIT AND RUN so not to matter if they was doing a speed limit or not they did not stop and anyone else come to think of it .

  5. Although I understand your need to promote this film (even to go as far as include it in your nic), but you really don’t know if this was street racing or not. Until you can explain why the two cars were running the same speed down the same street, we’ll call it street racing. It should be noted that, at my age, our generation was racing cars on public streets before you came into this world…it wasn’t smart then, and its not smart now.It is movies and YouTube videos showing street racing that romanticize street racing in the first place. We definitely need another street racing video like you are promoting…there are so few (Google only shows a little over 400,000! – YouTube offers over 36,000 street racing videos!)!Yours is just another brick in the wall. From Police magazine at http://www.policemag.com/Articles/2007/04/Patrol-Response-to.aspx …”America has had a long love affair with street racing. That love has been reflected in and magnified by popular culture. In the ’50s and ’70s, Hollywood romanticized the activity in movies like “Rebel Without a Cause” and “American Graffiti.” The current surge in street racing can be traced to five years ago when “The Fast and the Furious” hit the screens with its spectacular race scenes.”From the television program, “Life and Times” at http://www.kcet.org/lifeandtimes/archives/200708/20070806.php …”It makes for exciting scenes in movies like “The Fast and the Furious” and you can find home videos of it all over the internet on sites like YouTube. The movies about street racing and the videos that show up on YouTube can make it appear glamorous to some, but what happened at this curve in Riverside in October of last year was decidedly unglamorous.”The death and destruction continues.

  6. Hi all,The man is paralysed from the neck down and they still haven’t any leads on the 2 cars you see speeding around the corner.Just today another man 83 was hit while crossing the street however, the car whom hit him was turning the corner and not going fast so the man got up and walked ok.. not hurt.Connecticut is becoming the worse state for crime and highest gas prices. So many shootings each night and people getting killed by hit and runs.A young boy got killed also from being hit by a car.I posted this video to show how cruel humans have become and how NUMB to othersas well.I don’t know about the audio since it’s not my video and I posted it for shock value to show others outside USA how even here there are horrid things daily. Thanks for the commentsFatimah
