Enigma .. Same Parents

This song is from Enigmas new cd, Seven Lives many faces.
The music is spiritual and yet
has the good old flavor of Enigma..
please enjoy this music and the feelings..

Same Parents

We all had the same parents
Many million years ago
Why can't we live in freedom
Without hunger, with no war?

At the beginning we all had
One mother and one father
That's where we're descending from (attention)
I don't, I don't understand why
so much hate (attention)

Between races, and religions
It's mad, insane
I don't understand (amazing)
Why it has to be like that?
(incredible experience)

We all had the same parents
Many million years ago
Why can't we live in freedom
Without hunger, with no war?

(attention) I don't, I don't understand
why so much hate (amazing)
Between races and religions
(incredible experience)

With love,
Fatimah

  2. Greed, and the lust for power are the things that cause war. Lack of food and desperation are things that cause war also.:coffee:

  3. Sadly, they are things that could be changed, if only the human race would have a change of heart.

  4. I don’t know if I’d agree with that. Throughout my life I have known many people who quietly tried to help others without making anything of it.OTOH we do have a terrible time with change. I really have an odd thing to say. I thank my fortune for having taken work selling door-to-door on two occasions. I was teased and twitted unmercifully ( and am a saucy rogue too ) by people who felt comfortable enough to kid around. But : I had to do my own ‘cold calls.’ Best experience in the world. If you ‘treat people right’ they almost fall over themselves to do the same.It really is true. A stranger is a friend you haven’t happened to meet yet. ( Well. Mostly. )

  5. We have more in common with each other than we think. I have been surprized by people, in a good way, more than once.:coffee:

  6. ‘If only the human race would have a change of heart’.We are the human race and that change is most evident when we ‘talk’ to each other. One reason I am such a nut chasing down ‘news’ is that I know the world is a very diverse place – which we understand very poorly. The word ‘prejudice’ is simple Latin. ‘Pre’ is ‘before’ and ‘judis’to judge. If judging without knowledge is the problem – maybe some knowledge spread around can help.I surprise some people by considering myself ‘religious’ – not too odd for a Preacher’s Kid. But I try to figure out what was thought worth saving and ‘passing on’ in traditional wisdom while doing the Christian thing from the angle of ‘this stuff is there for us’ – not ‘us for it’.And I don’t have a ‘problem’ with science per se : I do think we have an outpouring of technology which is going to effectively cause mass slavery however, if those now in power are successful with their New World Order.

  7. Hi again,I like your way of thinking Oldepharette, “A stranger is a friend you haven’t met yet”I use to hold a lot of faith into people however, since I am working in retail storesand dealing with hundreds of people a day I have become a NON PEOPLE PERSON :(I don’t like being this way but I could write a book on what they do Help me please lol

  8. I too have done so many jobs in my life time however, sales rep is the best for me ..I enjoy driving and seeing my stores and getting my goals accomplished. When I believe in a product I can sell it without any problems.. Monday I start with Russell Stover Candy and this will be a new road I will be driving on 🙂 I have been for 2 years now working for over 6 companies at one time and they have picked all my nerve endings and this too has taken a toll on my sensitive side.Working for one company will be a vacation for me :)I have studied human nature and also behaviour just being stresed erases what I have learnedover the years.I gain trust and then I am home free this pertains to my stores and the people whommake the descissions for ordering ..

  9. You’re in an entirely different kind of work setting. I’m a high school grad who’s done a variety of jobs : not too hard when you’re built like a truck and have good basic skills in both math and English ( I was a bookworm : now I pixillate while I vascillate. ).The best book on people skills I’ve seen was written by a man who was called many uncomplimentary names – but he knew something. A classic – “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.Sales has a bad name because people buy into the idea everyone is out to ‘get’ them. They shouldn’t allow sales presenters to monopolize their time in that case. Companies study psychology very hard – and work to convert their staff to their side. Wal-Mart is legend. If the salespeople believe something is so…that’s what they communicate, very effectively. The truth may be something else. They are all trained to ‘bug off’ after hearing ‘No’ 3 times. I don’t waste that much time. If I’m interrupted on my line on my time they are a nuisance whose interference is to be terminated soonest. I’m blunt. You’re just suffering from an excess of putting up with shit. There’s no getting away from that – but it’s why people decide to become self-employed. Out of the frying pan into the fire !And why did I ‘do’ sales ? I worked like mad to become a valuable consultant who was able to effectively communicate choices and assist people in deciding what was best for them. That doesn’t come off the production line – but it does good things for job security and income both.

  10. An uncle worked as a food broker. I’ve been a manufacturer’s rep but that got replaced as growth continued.Just today I was checking some sesame seed snacks for a purchase…Made in China,No thanks.

  11. I am going to vote. They had better stop messing around with the voting machines, or there will be armed insurrection.

  12. Check out BradBlog. He’s been following vote rigging for years. Also thishttp://www.chris-floyd.com/

  13. Dear Fati: it’s a pleasure to say Hello!I’ve listened many songs of the last work of Enigma, the one you posted here. I found it rare, so different than the others. May be a change of their ways? Enigma feeds lots of things to me, but I admit I prefer the previous works; this comment don’t means the present is bad.About the words, are excellent to read, to read ’em carefully and with attention. Even when we are simply Human, we made life so complex, so different as the begining, different of the original design. It causes pain, but I keep my faith that it’s just something that won’t last forever. I know the future will be different, and I hold it so much inside.I had bad moments some days ago… but now I’m ok. Even when I fall sometimes, I’m happy because is not as often as before. I try to keep on moving, working, and taking my morning walkings early. And rest, of course.I hope you are fine. Best wishes!

  14. Hi Pablo,Happy my song can lift your spirits, please remember the sunshine :)Take care and don’t be sad .. your family needs you:heart:Fati

  15. At the heart of GOP philosophy is a big empty hole. They try to fill the hole with money, but all the gold in the universe cannot fill it, because it is a hole in their spirit, and that spirit is dead.I enjoy my ammenities when I have them, but I was just fine spiritually when I didn’t have them. I am afraid that I will sound trite here but a friend of mine was so afraid that he would lose his possessions that he literally worked himself to death.

  16. I was killed in a truck crash, July 7, 1975 @400. My neck was broken in the crash. I got a glimpse of the other side before I was sent back. I enjoy being alive, but the next time I die, I don’t have to come back.

  17. I know what you mean.. sorry about your friendthere are many whom do this as for me I am trying to keep my head above the water line

  18. There was a time that idea of relative unimportance of possessions could have been fairly characterized as ‘Christian’ – not that that meant they had a ‘lock’ on the it – just still understood common humanity. Now some have ‘prosperity doctrine’. It’s like you say : you have to yell about your devotion when you don’t have any.Talk about not understanding the “Still small voice of calm.”My best friend was terrified at the time of his death. That my faith was some comfort to him was the only saving grace of the day – and unexpected on my part.

  19. I read up on a lot of ‘near death’ – so-called – experiences someplace where peoples’ beliefs were catalogued and in a paperback or two. It was fascinating both for what people experience and what they believe. Despite the naysayers on the ‘scientific’ side, I still leave some room for life to vary from expectations. I’ve experienced what the Hindu think of as a fortuitous batching of coincidences.

  20. I too have had an out of body experience when I gave birth to my first son,I was told I wasn’t done yet and from the top of the room I came down to my body.. I am glad Capt you did come back.. I feel you are not done yet also :)Olde.. you are a blessing also as you said your friend gained so muchfrom your presence.. just think if you weren’t here for him .. he wouldhave died empty.. :heart:to both of your souls.

  21. I wasted my cadet training taking a motorcycle into a ditch filled with broken asphalt. After that a military career didn’t seem on the table because of injury. There’s a Biblical verse”When I was a child, I thought as a child. When I became a man I put away childish things.”When I started looking for work I asked myself a question when assessing jobs : “What is it for ?”

  22. I dunno about that. I just spent the last 15 minutes looking for my phone and it was on the table in plain sight. The other game I hate is: “What did I do with the car keys this time”?

  23. Well I am back in the barn now. I guess Indian Summer is over around here. Most of the leaves fell off the trees last night all at once. Great.
