Cougars Unwelcomed on Cruises

I read this online and had to post it
being a " cougar" myself and my friend
Cat… I feel slighted boo hoo.

Hey Cat we can book on Norwegian lines haha

'Cougars,' 'cubs' unwelcome on Carnival cruises

MIAMI β€” Carnival Cruise Lines won't be sailing anymore with a boatload of "cougars" and their willing prey. The Miami-based company has turned down a request from a singles travel group to book another cruise with the cougar theme. The term refers to older women who date younger men.

The singles group says the ban is unfounded. They point to their first cruise on Carnival's Elation in December that drew about 300 women and the men they call "cubs."

Carnival says there were no problems with last month's trip, it's just a business decision. They have no room for groups with that "theme."

Analysts say it's meant to protect Carnival's focus on family fun.

Party planners say they've had no trouble booking with rivals Norwegian and Royal Caribbean.

Looking to book soon ?

  3. Hey, men aren’t just pieces of meat, you know. We’re unique individuals with feelings.*burns a jockstrap*No longer will we be held down by this vagile oriented society. No longer will we be shipped off to the garage while you women have girl talk. No longer will your female language keep us down. We wont “womanise” when we can people-ise! :knight: Brothers, unite!

  4. ( Shouting with bra in hand ) (((( COUGARS UNITE)))) No longer will we be hampered by our age, No longer will we hide our love for hot, sexy younger men out of fear of being ridiculed, No longer shall we be mistaken for MOM when being introduced… We are beautiful, strong, independant and so what if we have a few laugh lines… We carry wisdom and tricks up our sleeves… ( Ya, I went there) !!!!!!!!!! πŸ˜† DOWN WITH CAPTAIN STUBING AND HIS CRUISE SHIP FROM HELL, WE SHALL SAIL OUR OWN SHIP OF LOVE , :headbang: :knight: :pirate: LMAO :jester: :queen:

  5. Depends on who uses it, and how its used in a sentence lol , I would much rather be called a cougar than a milf… Lots of younger men like older women and vice versa, and I never date men my own age. I think Fati is the same way… Labels labels, whatdoyado !

  6. I was talking about the origin, but yeah, MILF is an horrific term if only for the first letter. :yuck: Never did understand how a parental term could so easily be used in a sexual manner. And don’t get me started on guys who use the word “Daddy” when getting intimate…

  7. men are meat πŸ™‚ not just one pieceit’s always nice to have eye candy don’t you think?

  8. Well in essance,we all know the true origins of the word cougar, wild mountain cat, stealthy, cunning, ect. As for the true origin of its derogitory meaning, don’t have a clue ! Maybe someone just woke up one day and decided women who date younger men should have a nickname, and I guess “they” could have come up with much worse….um like MILF lol !

  9. Hahahaha Fati you did not just say that ahahahaha OMG woman your toooo much ! I was dyin to know what you were gonna say , and you Rock….she said “eyecandy” lmao !!!!!

  10. Sexist pig! 😑 It’s your sort that have kept my gender under for so long..:sing: We shall overcome…*holds up a placard demanding Make Lego, Not War*

  11. hummm now the coin is on the other sideit’s ok for men to see women as meatbut when the men hear it they get upset πŸ™ booo hooTell me Furie why do men say.. “BEAT THEIR MEAT”so this shows you it was the man who started the MEAT label not I πŸ˜€

  12. To be entirely fair that started out as a term for using a tenderising mallet on steak. :chef: It was american teen comedies written by the sort of people who find fart jokes romantic that gave it the other meaning. I missed the change over due to work, and almost gave a girlfriend’s grandmother a heart attack when I had her family over for dinner. πŸ™

  13. well thanks for the information but I still sayit was probably a man who started that phrase lol

  14. I guess it goes for anything in life.it just takes one person to start the ball rolling .. no pun intended lol

  15. Yeah, that sort of guy has kept us in negative stereotypes for years now. It’s no wonder you women see men as pieces of meat to beat when guys like that act like they’ve got no brains. It’d be like if men judged women by Paris Hilton.

  16. Aha, you listened to a man instead of viewing him as just meat. I’ve reformed your evil ways. Equality Man awaaaaay!*flies off into the distance, cape flowing in the wind*

  17. I crack up that a couple of years ago, one of my sisters took to the term “Cougar” like a duck to water. I think I had used it in an E-mail to her and my oldest niece. Neither of them had heard the term so I explained it to them and gave them the Urban Dictionary link. My sister was like, “Heyyy! That’s me!” That was in reference to her being 2 or so years older than her husband. So, I did a trial run. In the next E-mail I referred to her as Cougar. She Cougar-like pounced on the opportunity and adopted “Cougar” as her Cyber Handle from then on.Ironically enough, while I was at that time the Expert on knowing what a Cougar was … it actually hasn’t been too long since I’ve known what a MILF is. That same oldest niece was the one who actually had to clue me in. I think it involved some joke, maybe via E-mail. I was like, “MILF? WTF is an MILF?” My niece is like, “You’ve never heard of an MILF?” I go, “Well, Ummm, sure I’ve :left: :right: SEEN it on a site here and there, but I just never really had any clue what it was.” She told me what it was and referenced some movie where it had been a big deal. πŸ˜€ Have you seen the TV Show Cougartown with Courtney Cox?

  18. What’s an MILF? Uh Oh! I was assuming you knew.I had to scroll up to verify who used it. I see it wasn’t you who used it, but your friend Cat.Oh, Okay … I’ll just let Urban Dictionary give you the lowdown and bring you up to speed:http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=MILFNow you know why Cat said that she’d rather be called a Cougar than a MILF. :p I cracked up when Jay Leno once goes, “Why do women get to be called Cougars? Why can’t we older guys be called something similarly Cool like Panthers? Noooooo! We have to be called Dirty Old Men. I unfortuantely haven’t watched Cougartown. I haven’t watched much TV at all in quite a while. But, I hope to change that in the near future. I loved Friends … especially Jennifer Aniston! I liked Courtney Cox since she first came out on Family Ties. The one I didn’t like was Phoebe. Hmmm? The Actress’ name is even escaping me right now.

  19. Hi Suntana,Thanks for the great comment here, I enjoy hearing storiesrealating to my posts really lets me know someone is readingand sharing. What is MILF? Courtney Cox is soooooooooooo funny in this show more so then in Friends .. I can relate to her big time Fati

  20. Vulgar term isn’t it. I’ve also heard DILF used to describe the masculine version. :yuck: :sst: Lisa Kudrow.

  21. I had never heard of the DILF version. But, I went and checked and Urban Dictionary does have it.Lisa Kudrow … Why of course, Lisa Kudrow.I remembered Phoebe’s song more than I did Lisa’s name.:sing: Smelly Cat Smelly Cat And I remembered that Phoebe didn’t know how to ride a bike. :eyes:
