My Girls dreams do come true

HI All,

I wanted to share my 3 kitties with you and I keep forgetting to post.

Here is Cootie part Egyptian Mau and part Abassian.

She was my second dream when I first moved to Egypt and the next day I found her as she was in my dream, I mean the way she looked skinny and homeless and soooooooo cute !

BabeBa a sherazi, is the darker one she was my first dream in Egypt and it lasted 2 weeks until I went back to the pet shop and bought her. The crys ended.

On top of her is my 3 girl, Sweetie, I was on my way to the bakery for some sweets and she found me, I gave her the chance to walk away however,on my way back from the bakery she heard me talking and her little feet ran as fast as they could carry her to me like saying,"MOMMY MOMMY WAIT FOR ME "!

I picked her up and stuck her inside my coat, she was around 5 weeks old and the most beautiful sweet kitty I have seen in a long time .

I miss them very much.

  1. Yes Lokutus, they are very dear to me, they held my soul in tack while I was going thru culture shock and even recently they are always there for me when I need a hug… where are they now??? 🙁

thank you all for viewing my girls

  2. HI Sarah,

No they are in Egypt being cared for by a friend there.

Cootie is a special cat, she listens like a dog most of the time. BabeBa fetches and retrives, Sweetie just eats LOL.

I see them on cam from time to time and they hear my voice, this keeps me present in thier minds and they don’t miss me to much.

    thank you for viewing 🙂

  3. I hope you can be reunited with them soon!

I would be lost without my Evelyn and my Chloe.

  4. HI Q,

Thank you for this great story and picture. It’s odd that Egyptians always feature a black cat in their papyrus work however, the Egyptian Mau is spotted and greyish.
I guess the ancient Egyptian cat was black?

    Thank you for contributing.

  5. I also belive in dreams, maybe not in that part where you dream you’ll get a new car and get it, but in the symbols that dreams have.

For instance, Pau dreams a lot and she sees a lot of signs and symbols. Then she tells me about her dreams and I try to find out the meaning of them and most of the time they do come true.

By starlight I know you as lovely as a dream come true

  6. HI EZ we have the same in common then. a good percent of my dreams come true. 🙂

  7. HI Q,

I have seen many Egyptians being nice to cats in the street and in parks however, the dog 🙁 they throw stones at and abuse them and this is where I step in. I need to learn how to say words to kids in Arabic to make them understand even the dogs are given to humans by God.

It’s wonderful to see people sitting on the grass feeding what little food they have to the street cats and the cats not fearing them to take it.

So I guess they do hold the cat more sacred than anything else I have seen.

  8. The smile on Cootie’s face is mesmerizing and the different colors of green in all of the eyes is wonderful. But, the one named Cootie is to die for. Do you not have them with you now?

  9. I can’t remember exactly where I heard that cats are sacred in Egypt, but I found this while looking for the source; it’s the beginning of a story called ‘The Cats of Ulthar’, by H. P. Lovecraft:

It is said that in Ulthar, which lies beyond the river Skai, no man may kill a cat; and this I can verily believe as I gaze upon him who sitteth purring before the fire. For the cat is cryptic, and close to strange things which men cannot see. He is the soul of antique Aegyptus, and bearer of tales from forgotten cities in Meroe and Ophir. He is the kin of the jungle’s lords, and heir to the secrets of sinister and hoary Africa. The Sphinx is his cousin, and he speaks her language; but he is more ancient than the Sphinx, and remembers that which she hath forgotten.

  10. Nice cats. I had another fem cat who followed me some times walking by the street as dogs ussualy do with their holders.I appreciate it

  17. Hi Elmar,When I came back in 2005 for the summer they were with my husband and in Oct of 2005 when I was getting ready to go home to him and them he told me not to and to stay here forever. He was taking care of them but hates any kind of repsonsiblity and this too is why he didnt want me back due to me not being able to do everything for myself there like speak arabic enough for myself.. He told me they were a huge problem for him so I am sure he did throw them in the street or maybe they died from not eating good I don’t know.he is mentally sick and told me he forgets to feed them . He also recently moved to a differnt flat and I am sure he didnt have them and I am scared to ask him for it will hurt me so much to know the truth and then I will want to kill him for real. Even now writing to you this I am crying thinking of my girls whom I miss so much.

  18. Hello Eve,Ok, I see. That’s a pity. Maybe the cats had even enough luck to get out there. But I understand your sorrow.See youElmar
