GIFT FROM THE BIRDS

Hi All,

I thought it might be nice to post something beautiful and uplifting to give our minds a break from the bombings. Not to make light of it.

I was out today picking black berries from a bush that sits outside the front door.

My sister calls it " THE GIFT FROM THE BIRDS "

No human planted this bush and yet it grew and the placement of the berry bush was made just for my sister.

So close to her front door and accessable for her to pick .. Each year we enjoy the fresh berries with our cereal and the loving gifts to her for feeding the birds in the harsh winter time here in Connecticut.

There is horrors in our everday life and sometimes I don't take the time to enjoy the beauty that surrounds me in every second of my days.

A man re-coperating at the INN viewed a deer from his window and went out to take a photo of her. The deer stood up and looked into the camera and allowed him to take her photo. She then went back to eating knowing he wasn't a threat to her and knew he would also enjoy the gift she gave him. This small gift made him feel the magic I am speaking about here.

I walk to work and walk home and I see wild life that is around me and I thank God for giving me the fresh air I breathe and the green grass that softens my eyes from the harsh yellow sands I was seeing.

I don't mean to sound mushy here, I just want to share the beauty we all are given on a daily basis and if anyone is like me over worked and stressed OUT…. Please take the time to enjoy the gifts of nature and more so ……..

The gifts from BIRDS…..

Magically Yours

Eve

  1. HI Colin,

I am so happy to hear you are slowing down and enjoying the small things in life.

Those are the important things that count.

Happy you are safe and sound.

    Thanks for reading.

  2. Wow Eve! You changed your template 🙂

The song says “no puedo soportarlo mas, tanta belleza no se puede capturar”. Honest, nature is beauty per se, no wonder why the Wiccan worship it.

Every time I go out with Pau, specially to the country side she takes a lot of pictures of everything around us, she always sees that beauty even in “http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/eztigma/ipod.jpg">cold & souless” stuff.

BTW, I just wanted to share with you that I ordered my free VistaPrint business cards and they arrived last week with no further complications, and they’re neat too!

  3. HI JCL,
Yes you live in a climate like Egypt where you can have flowers year round 🙂 I loved that about Egypt too maybe one day I will have a huge balcony with flowers year round.

It’s the small things that make us remember what life is all about.

    still sprinkling magic

    Eve

  5. … great to celebrate the beauty we see in everyday life! And by doing so we also increase our connectedness to the environment and the higher powers. Thanks for this refreshing take 🙂

I for one, have these beautiful roses growing outside my bedroom window – and in the dead of Winter too!

    JCL.

  6. HI EZ,

Your Pau sounds like me 🙂 I see beauty even in things others don’t. I feel when you see things from your heart you see the world in a different light.

Congrats on the business cards, Did you fill out the survey at the end of the transaction? This is where I ran into problems not so much with the Vista Print company but the survey they ask you to fill out and Me thinking it was their survey not some other 3rd party.

    Thanks for reading and sharing.

    Eve

  7. That sounds really wonderful. I also enjoy nature and love to be in it. Today, I took the kids to a wonderful park that we have here in town and they enjoyed seeing the squirels and butterflies and the river. They had a really great time and I as well. Like you said, getting the fresh air.

    TTYL,
    Sarah

  8. Hi Eve,

    I liked your mail.

Since the bombings, I myself had what I can only call a brush with death.

Since then, I’ve taken the time to go out and feel the world around me. After all, it’s only here for as long as I am, in a manner of speaking.

    Now, I fear nothing.

    Colin.
