30 DAYS TV SHOW

HI All,

I just wanted to let you know about a new tv series here in USA called 30 Days.

The guy who did super size me movie is doing this show..

Each week he does new theme where he has someone do something so opposite of what they believe in or live.

Last week it was about this American male in his 30s living in Virgina, Christian who accepted to go to Michigan and live with a Muslim family for 30 days and live as a Muslim.

I was so happy this show did this theme, he had to dress like a Muslim and also other things they did.

First off.. he was dressed as a Muslim in Virgina and going thru the airport he was STOPPED and searched and questioned.. All due to the way he was dressed.

to make a long story short. He stated he has learned so much more doing this venture and also his mind has changed about Muslims .. He first thought of terroist and now he see it all different.

It really made me feel good to know the US will see what I am talking about now, being treated differenly due to a name or the clothes or beliefs.

Weds night this week he has chosen a straight guy who has to live with a gay guy for 30 days, from the hightlights of this week it looks like this straight guy is going to have fun.

I just wanted to share this program, I didn't see the first 2 episodes . One was where this guy had to live on minimum wage for 30 days.. OH BOY it must have been a nightmare for him.

Just sharing.

Eve

  2. Hi Eve,

Maybe this type of show will give us a new understanding to the old saying don’t judge me till you walk a mile in my shoes (or something to that effect). I might have to tune in and check it out.

    Thanks for Sharing,

    Katie

  3. … sounds like quite an interesting show. I hope they bring that to South Africa. Glad to see you are posting – I thought you had been rather quiet recently!

  4. HI Katie,

Yes no one knows how hard life is for any person until they walked in their shoes.

  6. HI Sarah,

It’s on FX channel, they have a good web site too with chats and I was reading some of the postings and as usual the red necks are against this show or any of this guys shows, they are to REAL for people with small minds :((.

How are you doing Sarah? I haven’t read any journals for a few days 🙁 miss all of you LOTS.

    Hugs Sarah,
    Eve

  7. HI JCL,

You can download it on limewire 🙂 it was season 1 eps. 3.. its really a great show and very brillant of this guy to go where no one else has been before.

yes I am working so hard and so tired but my need to share good shows and topics give me a bit of energy to type.

I am off on Weds however, this day will be spent driving my sis to the hospital for one day surgery and then home again and looking after her for that day and then back to work again for 6 straight days of HEAT AND HEADACHES.

    NO TIPS :((

    hugs Eve

  8. That’s an important thing: “To walk in others’ shoes.” And to be interested in other people instead of just showing yourself to others. Simple and true.Take careElmar

  9. Yes Elmar, I always put myself into others before doing anything and I always offer this advice to anyone who might do something hurtful to antoher either in business or a relationship.only selfish people ignore this and those are the hurtful ones. It’s nice to see you agree :)Eve
